Skills Street will help address a gap in the opportunities available for schools and young people to learn about and experience opportunities within the region across a number of growing sectors from retail to hospitality, manufacturing to construction and banking to leisure, as well as supporting the development of employability skills transferable to any job role and adult life.
It will offer a unique opportunity for children and young people to gain new skills, experience practical learning opportunities and gain much needed insight into the world of work and entrepreneurship.
Skills street will be home to a mix of big-name businesses and brands and local enterprises who want to work with us to inspire the next generation.
We are looking for businesses who want to be involved in this inspiring project by developing an ongoing partnership from sponsoring areas within the Skills Street building to working with us on the delivery of inspirational projects for our young people.
Within Skills Street a thriving street will be developed, and businesses will have the opportunity to be represented with a physical presence showcasing their business and opportunities to the workforce of tomorrow.
