Tricia Smith - Why is The Source Skills Academy Involved In Skills street?

Tricia Smith is the CEO of The Source Skills Academy, a leading centre providing training, development and conferencing facilities for the local community as well as businesses in South Yorkshire and further afield. We asked her to tell us why The Source Skills Academy decided to get involved in the three-way partnership to make Skills Street a reality…

“The Source is extremely proud to be part of Skills Street.  This is a huge opportunity for our region, to inspire all young people and adults to learn about the careers and opportunities within our local area.

As a charity it is our mission to enrich and support people to develop the skills that local businesses need to develop and grow.  Skills Street will provide the hands-on experiences, which will inspire our communities, engage and develop our future workforce and provide growth and prosperity for our region.

Working in partnership with The Work-Wise Foundation and the team at Gulliver’s Valley we’ll be able to deliver training in a new and exciting way.

Visitors to Skills Street will learn by experiencing and will be able to develop their skills in an interactive environment enhanced by businesses from a range of sectors.”
